−48 V DC continuity · Lithium compatibility · Dubai, UAE

We tell you whether your plant can take lithium. Before you buy it.

VOLT48 is the independent specialist in −48 V DC continuity for small and mid-size networks. Our core product is the remote compatibility audit: you fill in one structured form — label photos and readings, no site visit, wherever your sites are — and you get a signed sheet stating which lithium architecture fits your plant and which parameters have to change. Only then, if you want it, we source the hardware to order from certified tier-1 manufacturers.

The situation

Recognise any of these?

Most of the calls we get start in one of three places. All three have a cheaper answer than the one you were quoted.

01

The module died and the model is gone

The rectifier was discontinued years ago. The OEM's answer is a full plant replacement, because that's the only thing left on their price list.

02

One failed module, a whole plant quoted

You need two rectifier modules. The offer on your desk is a new shelf, new controller and new commissioning — for a plant that still has years of service in it.

03

The batteries are finished, the plant is fine

Your VRLA bank is at end of life but the rectifier shelf is healthy. You don't need a rebuild — you need a lithium retrofit sized to what's already there.

The question before every lithium purchase

A 51.2 V battery is not a 48 V battery

Telecom equipment on a −48 V bus is specified to run between −40.5 V and −57.0 V. A 16-cell LiFePO4 pack at full charge asks for 57.6 V — outside it. A 15-cell pack asks for 54.0 V — inside. They are marked 51.2 V and 48 V, they look like near neighbours, and they are not interchangeable.

Guaranteed operating window — −40.5 V to −57.0 V OUT OF SPEC Window your equipment guarantees 15S LiFePO4 — telecom retrofit (48.0 V nominal) full charge 54.0 V — INSIDE 16S LiFePO4 — rack storage (51.2 V nominal) full charge 57.6 V — OUTSIDE −40.5 V −48 V −54.0 V −57.0 V BUS VOLTAGE (−V DC)

The window your −48 V equipment guarantees, against what each lithium architecture asks for at full charge. Drawn by VOLT48.

15S

Telecom retrofit

48.0 V nominal. Charges at 52.5–54.0 V, finishes discharging at 40.5 V. Fits inside the window your equipment guarantees — after the rectifier and the controller have been validated.

16S

Rack storage

51.2 V nominal. Asks for 57.6 V at full charge. Belongs behind an inverter or a wide-range converter — not in a −48 V plant without prior validation, and we put that exclusion in writing on the datasheet.

12

Points we document per site

Rectifier part number, controller model, firmware version, output range, charge profile, temperature compensation, thermal runaway management, string capacity, charge current limit, low-voltage disconnect, walk-in and communications. Signed, and yours whatever you decide afterwards.

Start here

Send us the label. We'll take it from there.

You don't need a drawing or a specification. A phone photo of the sticker on the failed module is usually enough for us to identify it, find a match and tell you what it costs.

What to send us

  1. The part numberPrinted on the front or the side of the rectifier module — something like FP2 48/2000 HE, R4850G2 or ESR-48/56.
  2. A photo of the shelfSo we can see the plant, the controller and how many slots you are actually running.
  3. Quantity and urgencyHow many you need, and whether the site is already down. That changes what we quote and how we ship it.

Send it now — three fields

Or use the full form if you'd rather describe the site and the load.

What we are most often asked for

Lithium batteries for telecom
48V LiFePO4 50Ah 48V LiFePO4 100Ah 48V LiFePO4 150Ah 48V LiFePO4 200Ah 19" rack 3U / 4U Integrated BMS RS485 / CAN VRLA drop-in replacement

These are the families we are asked for most often — not a stock list. Every item is sourced to order, and the quotation states the lead time before you commit to anything. If your plant isn't listed, send it anyway: most legacy 48V systems are still sourceable.

What we do

Keep it alive, or replace it properly

The audit comes first; hardware follows only when the engineering says it fits — sourced to order from qualified manufacturers, specified by people who have actually run these systems.

Remote Compatibility Audit — our core product

USD 450 per site. You fill in one structured form; we document your rectifier, controller and firmware and hand you a signed twelve-point sheet — no site visit, wherever your sites are. Free for the first ten accounts.

Lithium Batteries for Telecom

48V LiFePO4 in 50–200Ah, 19" rack format with integrated BMS and RS485/CAN — sourced to order from IEC 62619 + UN 38.3 certified tier-1 manufacturers, with the manufacturer's warranty stated in writing and managed by us from Dubai.

Discontinued & Legacy Modules

Rectifier modules and controllers for plants the OEM has walked away from — Eltek, Delta, Vertiv, Emerson, Eaton, ZTE. Send the part number; we hunt it down.

New 48V DC Plants & Shelves

When the old plant genuinely is finished: rack-mounted rectifier systems, power shelves, controllers and DC distribution, sized to your load and your growth.

Edge & Small Data Center Power

Compact, modular DC power, distribution and backup for edge nodes, micro data centers and small facilities — sized to the site in front of you, not to a hyperscale template.

Global Sourcing & Supply

We qualify a manufacturer before we quote it: business licence, export record, certification evidence and, wherever possible, a second source for the same product family. You are always told where your equipment is made.

Why VOLT48

The big OEMs sell you the next plant. We keep this one alive.

Huawei, Vertiv and Delta win the mega-projects — and once your system goes end-of-life, a new plant is the only thing left on their price list. Our incentive runs the other way: find the module, extend the asset, and say so plainly when it really is time to replace.

  • Real engineering, not a catalogue

15+ years hands-on with rectifiers, controllers and battery banks. Every enquiry is answered by someone who has configured these plants, and the answer arrives with the arithmetic shown.

  • Speed that protects your SLA

Every part request gets an answer within one business day — including "we can't get this one". When we do quote, the lead time is committed and stated up front, so you can plan the outage instead of waiting on us.

  • Cost-efficient, not cheap

You buy the module you actually need — not the replacement plant the OEM would rather sell you. Scope, price, lead time and warranty are all on the quotation before you commit.

  • Independent & multi-brand

No allegiance to one OEM. We specify what fits your network — and we can source it.

Our standard

No surprises on condition, date or price

Legacy parts are where buyers get burned. These are the four rules we hold ourselves to, in writing, on every single quotation.

01

New and new-old-stock only

We do not sell refurbished or pulled modules. Everything we quote is new or genuine new-old-stock, and we tell you which of the two it is before you order.

02

Warranty terms in writing, before you pay

Every quotation states the warranty period and exactly what it covers, before you commit. Nothing buried in conditions you discover after the invoice.

03

A committed lead time, not a vague "soon"

We source to order rather than holding speculative stock. The quotation states the lead time we commit to — and if it ever slips, you hear it from us first.

04

Inspected before it ships

Equipment ships direct from the factory, so we specify pre-shipment inspection against the datasheet and tell you who carried it out. A part that arrives dead helps nobody — least of all a site that is already down.

How we work

From a structured form to a powered site — no site visit needed

01

Audit remotely

You fill in the audit form — or send a part number and a photo of the label for spares. Everything starts from data you can capture with a phone.

02

Signed verdict

You get the twelve-point compatibility sheet, signed — or the quotation with availability, committed lead time, price and warranty. Yours either way.

03

Hardware to order

New or genuine new-old-stock from a qualified, certified manufacturer, with pre-shipment inspection against the datasheet — and the manufacturer's warranty stated in writing, managed by us.

04

Guided commissioning

Parameter-by-parameter guidance for your own technicians or local contractor, with communications validated so the bank can be monitored remotely from day one.

From San José, California to Dubai — a global path in telecom & data center power
The story

15+ years powering networks — now from Dubai

It started in San José, California, managing containers of 48V DC rectifier systems for cellular towers and repeaters. From Delta/Ericsson to Eltek-Valere and Mean Well, across the US and Latin America, the work was always the same: keep critical infrastructure energized.

VOLT48 brings that hands-on expertise to one of the fastest-growing digital infrastructure markets on earth. Industry forecasts put Middle East data centre capacity on a path from roughly 1 GW toward more than 3 GW by 2030 (PwC Middle East / DCD), alongside continued 5G densification — and every megawatt of it needs reliable DC power, batteries and someone who genuinely understands them.
